Situated on the western edge of Lookout
Mountain, Cloudland Canyon is one of
Georgia's most scenic state parks.
Elevations range from 800 to 2,000 feet
with spectacular vistas that include deep
gorges, cascading waterfalls, and 1,000 foot deep canyons. Those who hike to the bottom of the canyon
can get a close up view of the park's scenic waterfalls with waters cascading over layers of sandstone and shale.
The park has a total of 73 developed campsites ($19-22), 42 backcountry sites ($5-10), and 16 cabins ($85-115).
