The largest granite sculpture in the world. Ranking as one of Georgia's three most visited attractions with 4 million visitors annually. A memorial to the Confederacy and its leaders General Robert E. Lee, his right-hand General "Stonewall" Jackson, and the Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Astride on their horses forever carved into Georgia granite. It took more than 50 years to complete this 90 feet high, 200 feet wide, sculpture.




The visitor center has a small museum with a short pictorial on episodes of the Civil War. There is also an 18-hole golf course, Antebellum Plantation, Skylift, and laser light show in the summer. The Skylift's Swiss cable cars climb 825 ft. to the top of the mountain for a wide angle view of Atlanta, the Appalachian Mountains and surrounding countryside. Camping is available.
