The U.S. Air Force Museum located outside Dayton is the largest military aircraft museum in the world. Its chronological record of aviation begins with the Wright Brothers and extends into the present age of rockets, missiles, and satellites. There are over 200 vintage airplanes on display at the museum which is located at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base six miles northeast of Dayton.
