Beaver Creek is among the most popular and scenic of Ohio's State Parks. Located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and containing the famed National Wild and Scenic Little Beaver Creek River. Most of the park is covered with a dense forest of yellow and black birch, hemlock, and mountain laurel. Providing the perfect habitat for raccoons, red fox, skunks, black bear, and wild turkeys.

The history of Beaver Creek begins at the end of the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago when the prehistoric Fluted Point Culture Indians inhabited the region. Flint knives, fluted arrowheads and pottery have been found nearby. In more recent history, the Wyandot and Mingo Indians resided here. Followed by fur trappers and farmers that eventually built a town and Gaston's Mill in 1837. This early pioneer village has been reconstructed and is open for visitors.

Beaver Creek has a boat ramp, hiking trails and 53 non-electric campsites that are open year-round. Beaver Creek State Park, 12021 Echo Dell Rd, East Liverpool, OH 43920 (330) 385-3091. Beaver Creek State Park
