Kettle Creek is one of the most scenic of Pennsylvania's 55
State Parks. Surrounded by the mountainous 278,000 acre Sproul
State Forest. in a quiet and secluded valley. World's apart from
the state's larger cities. The park was opened in 1962 upon
completion of the Alvin R. Bush Dam that was constructed for
flood protection of the lower Susquehanna River.

Kettle Creek has two campgrounds.
The Lower Campground has 44 sites (38 sites with electric hookups). The Upper Campground has 27 sites (12 sites
with electric hookups) and is located on the 167 acre Kettle
Creek Reservoir. Trout fishing and boating
(electric motors only) are permitted on the lake with a
Pennsylvania State Park launch permit and fishing license with trout stamp (non-residents $40).
Both campgrounds
are open from early-April through mid-October. Department of
