One of the first choices of wildlife
lovers located just south of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Eighteen miles of hiking trails with a
secluded location that provides some of the best opportunities at viewing a variety of big game animals in their
natural settings. Included among these animals are bald eagles, deer, black bears, moose, and timber wolves. Combined with some
of the best boating
and fishing in the Minnesota State Park system.

Bear Head
Lake has 674 acres of water that is stocked with
trout, walleye, and northern pike. There is a small sandy
beach where families of bald eagles can usually be found
nesting high overhead. Along with 73 campsites of which twelve (12) are lakefront site with their own boat dock.
These lakefront sites are 2 - 10 on the A-Loop, 15 and 16 on the
B-Loop, and 14 and 16 on the C-Loop. The campground has
hot showers and electrical hookups for sites 25-50. Bear Head Lake State Park,
